Rice price today January 31, 2024: Export rice price dropped sharply

It was recorded that rice today, January 31, in the domestic market all went sideways. In the export market, Vietnam’s export rice price was adjusted to decrease sharply by 3 – 8 USD/ton

Rice prices today, January 31, in the Mekong Delta region have no fluctuations.
Recorded in the Mekong Delta provinces today, rice prices are less volatile. New hybrid rice transactions are happening, but still not much.

On the rice market, today in localities such as An Giang, Dong Thap, Can Tho, factory transactions are better, rice prices of all kinds have stopped falling. Particularly in Tien Giang, warehouses offer a slight increase in price of 100 – 150 VND/kg.

According to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, the price of IR 504 rice is at 9,000 – 9,200 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice maintains around the mark of 9,600 – 9,800 VND/kg; OM 18 at 9,600 – 9,800 VND/kg; OM 5451 at 9,300 – 9,500 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 remains stable at 9,400 – 9,600 VND/kg; OM 380 rice fluctuates around 8,600 – 8,800 VND/kg.

Regarding rice products, brown rice prices of all types today have not fluctuated. Accordingly, at market rice warehouses in An Cu and Cai Be (Tien Giang), the price of raw rice OM 18 and Dai Thom 8 is at 13,100 – 13,300 VND/kg; OM 5451 raw rice fluctuates around 12,500 – 12,700 VND/kg. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), fragrant rice is at 12,500 – 12,600 VND/kg; beautiful fragrance 12,700 – 12,900 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice 12,300 – 12,400 VND/kg.

At export warehouses, the price of IR 504 Vietnamese raw rice remains at 13,050 – 13,150 VND/kg; Raw rice fluctuates at 12,900 – 13,000 VND/kg; Soc Trang raw rice at 12,250 – 12,350 VND/kg; OM 5451 raw rice at 13,700 – 13,800 VND/kg; Raw rice OM 18, Dai Thom 8 at 14,050 – 14,150 VND/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam’s export rice price was adjusted to decrease sharply by 3 – 8 USD/ton. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the current price of 25% broken rice is at 614 USD/ton, down 3 USD/ton; 5% broken rice is at 642 USD/ton, down 10 USD/ton.
